Great Puumalansalmi Bridge

The Puumalansalmi Bridge is one of the largest highway bridges in Finland. It is a modern landmark with lift access to the Saimaanmajakka observation tower, which offers a brilliant view of Saimaa. The tower is an impressive sight, with lighting that changes according to atmospheric pressure. This work of lighting art was designed by Heini Myllyoja and realised by C2 Smartlight Oy for the 100th anniversary of Finland’s independence.
