Welcome to Hanhiniitty Smithy, to the island village of Niinisaari. Here you can take a part of the tradition making your own knive! In the selection of Hanhiniityn Paja's blacksmith, you can find e.g. handmade knives, kitchen knives, hiking axes. In our courses, you can forge yourself and experience the craft tradition!
The blacksmith's workshop is located in Niinisaari, a short ride from centre of Puumala, reaching us you can experience a short ferry ride (at Hätinvirran lossi, for free). During the low season, you can visit the smithy workshop, if we agree about a visit in advance. Products are transported around the world with the post office.
And when you feel like doing something real and concrete yourself, join the smithy courses at the end of the year!
Courses are also available on other times for small groups by request.
